Our Mission

From one of the very first times that the word “Worship” is used in the Bible, and even still today, “Worship” and “Sacrifice” go together. Genesis 22:4-6 (New Living Translation) On the third day of their journey, Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. “Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told the servants. “The boy and I will travel a little farther. We will worship there, and then we will come right back.” So Abraham placed the wood for the burnt offering on Isaac’s shoulders, while he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them walked on together, Abraham was asked by God to worship through making the ultimate sacrifice. God asked him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. When Abraham was willing to do what God asked, he was rewarded with blessings that would outnumber the stars. Not to mention that God provided a ram for the sacrifice and Isaac was spared.

When we approach the throne of God in our Worship Services at Family Praise Center, it is our desire to offer God our best. Sometimes God may ask us for a great sacrifice. Anybody can praise God, but only those who are willing to give to Him can worship Him. When we can push through our circumstances and the trials of this life, get our eyes on Jesus and worship Him in spirit and in truth, He will pour out great blessings.

The FPC Music Ministry is made up of people who are not perfect. We are forgiven, redeemed by grace and favored by God. We are people who have experienced great trials and have suffered the storms of life. Psalms 34:19 says, “The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time.” We are just like you, we’re people. When you join us for worship at FPC, the ground is level. If you are suffering through a trial or facing oppression, battling addiction, in need of a financial blessing, suffering from loss or just tired of life, you can know that we’ve been there and we will be here for you.

It is our mission and our desire to help others find the place of peace and joy that we have found, through worshipping God. We don’t just want to lead you to Jesus ... we want to inspire you to go to God for yourself. You will find everything that you need in Jesus Christ. When we magnify Him, we make Him large. Our worship makes God big enough for us to see in Him the things that we need.
